Details:	SUMMARY: Radon Reporting in Consumer Confidence Reports DETAILS: Rockwood sampled their well water for Radon after well was installed in 2003, and detected 350 pico Curies per liter. In 2005, Rockwood sampled the untreated well water after the tank with a splash plate as it was flowing to waste and detected 100 piCuries per liter. Neither of these samples is finished water, as Rockwood blends its well water with Portland Bull Run water before distribution. Rockwood never sampled finished water for Radon. Radon is currently not regulated. The CCR reporting rule for Radon states that reporting of detectable amounts in the CCR is required, if the system has determined that the finished water may contain Radon. Since Rockwood has never sampled the finished water for Radon, they would not be required to report anything in their CCRs. ACTION NEEDED: No action for Rockwood at this time.
