Details: SUMMARY: Alert on 4/17/08 for 3 positive repeat coliform bacteria tests sampled 4/15/08. DETAILS: Marti has met with Stutzman Services regarding the chlorinator not working properly. Stutzman worked on it and apparently it is fixed now. Discussed posting/sending a Tier 2 public notice to residents. She will send a copy to Linn Co. EH. Marti is using a pool test kit for chlorine residuals and has got varied residual results from 0.1-0.5ppm. I told her that she needs to use an approved test kit and reagent and told her about the HACH website. I informed Marti about the minimum chlorine residual of 0.2 ppm and recommended that she maintain a chlorine residual between 0.3 -0.5. System is not using NSF approved chlorine. I told her to use the approved NSF chlorine that is available from Stutzman Services. Marti mentioned that a pit was discovered ~30 from the water system well. She will have her well driller look at it and discuss it with the land owner. Informed Mari of the required 5 routines in May. We discussed the need for a Water System Survey and set a date. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of 5 routines in May.
