| Details: | SUMMARY: Treatment Recommendations DETAILS: A mill upstream of the facility breached a dike and dumped a log pond into Cow Creek. The filthy water and debris was swept into the Lawson system. After pulling some tests, they found that there were positive coliforms. I received a call from Ray Boyd late in the evening on Friday the 27th. He told me what had happened and wanted some direction as to what to do. I directed him to get tests on the water in his tanks. If they passed, then issue a boil order and get people to use water sparingly until they can produce safe water. Either way, I told him to do a boil water notice and flush the plant out. The dirty water plug passed the intake fairly quickly and the system was able to go back on line in a fairly short time. I reported the issue to Scott Curry to make sure someone knew of the spill and the boil water issue. ACTION NEEDED: As Needed. | ||
