Details:	SUMMARY: Response to Alert for Total Coliform Detect DETAILS: Springfield Office received alert for Total Coliform detect on 8/6/08. Called Kevin Hunt and notified him that we had received alert. He was aware of the coliform detection and had already collected repeat samples earlier today. I asked him about possible sources of contamination and he mentioned that maintenance folks had performed work on Booster Station #2 on 7/30 or 7/31 (removal of pump, tightening of pipes which had become loose and leaking due to vibration). He suspects that is was the source of contamination. In addition to collecting repeat samples, they also shock chlorinated the booster station following collection of the repeat samples. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of repeat samples.
