| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine sample tested positive for total coliform DETAILS: 8/5/08 - Four repeat samples were negative for total coliform. I called and left a voice mail for Dennis Mortenson to return my call. 8/6/08 - I spoke with Dennis and he said he is not sure of the cause. He believes that it might be a sampling error. He was unaware that he had to remove the plastic sealing strip off of the bottle prior to putting the lid back on. He said that Neilson noticed he had left the plastic strip on the lid and notified him that it could have contaminated the sample. I suggested that he call me next time he collects a sample if he would like me to come out and go over sampling procedure with him. I reminded him that five temporary routine samples need to be collected in the month of September. ACTION NEEDED: 5 temporary routine samples need to be collected in September. | ||
