Details:	SUMMARY: Water Hammer Issues DETAILS: The City provides water to approximately 260 persons through 125 connections. The system consists of two wells. One of the wells (Airport Well) is not in service due to high Hydrogen Sulfide levels. The city has 2 reservoirs, one of which (airport) has been decommissioned. The city requested possible assistance with the water hammer problem due to either poor performance or improper design/operation of the Pressure Reducing Valve. I met with Mr Marshall to tour the system and discuss operating difficulties involving the Water Hammer problem. I inspected PRV station and discussed valving and operations and I inspected site where water hammer was reported. I determined that water hammer problems were limited and possibly due to improper operation of fire hydrants. I produced written recommendations for proper hydrant operation to limit water hammer effects. ACTION NEEDED: Provide additional assistance a requested.
