| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine collected 11/4/08 +TC and e.coli DETAILS: Received info that system had a +TC and +e.coli routine sample-- called Marion Co Health and left msg-- called the system at 10:30am and left a message. Heard back from Bob Southard a little bit later and he said he was aware of the positives. He indicated that he only had one sample bottle available, so he would collect one repeat sample today (Thursday) and take in to the lab, pick up some more bottles, and then collect more samples Friday morning and take them in to the lab. Bob said he would request that the lab test these same-day so we could have all the repeat results by Friday afternoon. He indicated that it was raining heavily during the initial routine sampling and he suspects it might have contaminated the sample. The cause of having no chlorine residual is also being investigated. ACTION NEEDED: Will continue to monitor the situation and wait to see results of the repeat samples. If all repeats are absent of coliform, then operator will need to collect 5 temp routines in December. If any repeat is +TC or +e.coli, then further action will be required including public notice. | ||
