| Details: | SUMMARY: Failure to report TCR for the 2nd quarter. DETAILS: The Hood River County Health Dept contacted David Soman by telephone on July 15, 2008 to discuss the TCR monitoring violation. In review of the SDWIS database, it was determined that the violation was triggered due to late reporting. The coliform sample was collected on June 18, 2008, the lab received the sample June 19. Analysis was not initiate until June 20, 2008 nearly 48 hours after the time of collection. The lodge was cited with its second consecutive M/R violation due to late reporting. After further scrutiny of the sample results, it was later determined that the sample results were also invalid because the laboratory exceeded the 30 hour hold time. Subsequently, the late sample result was removed from the SDWIS as an invalid sample. HRCHD consulted with the state DWP for consensus and contacted David Soman again on July 31, 2008 to review the violation. The DRC was reminded that a 3rd consecutive M/R violation will result in a Significant Non compliance against the water system. The DRC was also reminded that the water system, not the laboratory, is ultimately responsible for ensuring monitoring results are reported. ACTION NEEDED: The water system is currently closed for the season. Resume monitoring when the system re opens in November. | ||
