| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate sample 8/21/08 was over one half of the MCL at 6.35 ppm DETAILS: historically nitrate samples have been over one half of the MCL for this system. I discussed this with Pastor Dickey during the last sanitary survey in December of 2006 reminding him that he needs to complete one year of quarterly nitrate sampling. He began quarterly sampling in the fourth quarter of 2006 and collected his final sample in the third quarter of 2007. I called Pastor Dickey and notified him that the annual nitrate sample should be collected in third quarter annually as it showed the highest level in the previous four consecutive quarters of nitrate sampling. The current sample was collected in the third quarter of 2008 as requested. Quarterly sampling is still discontinued. ACTION NEEDED: Quarterly sampling is discontinued. A nitrate sample should be collected annually during the third quarter. No additional action is needed at this time. | ||
