| Details: | SUMMARY: EDB detects at well #6 in fall 2008 DETAILS: Bob called on 12/19/08 to report two detections of Ethylene Dibromide (EDB): on Oct 15th, 0.0562 ppb, and on Nov 24th, 0.06 ppb. The MCL for EDB is 0.05 ppb. I mentioned to Bob, that well #6 has had some history of detections of EDB above the MCL, and that compliance is determined by a running annual average with the MCL. Bob mentioned that the City is planning on developing well #9, which has a much higher production than well #6, at 2000 gallons per minute. ACTION NEEDED: City was to take confirmation sample at well #6 for EDB on 12/19, and then shut the well down on 12/19. City will evaluate well #6 EDB results and consult with DWP before placing well back on-line. DWP to provide support as necessary, especially if the repeat samples have a detection of EDB. | ||
