Details:	SUMMARY: Total Coliform MCL DETAILS: Jo Culbertson called to notify me that 4 repeat samples taken 01/20/09 were all positive for total coliform bacteria. I recommended that she contact Calven Shulda (which she said she had done already) and that the spring be shock chlorinated, the system flushed, and at least two more coliform samples be taken - one at the spring and another in the distribution system when the chlorine had dissipated. I also told her that the positive repeat samples constituted a total coliform MCL violation requiring Tier 2 public notification within 30 days. ACTION NEEDED: System to shock chlorinate the spring, resample, and issue public notice within 30 days. Maureen Taylor with Clatsop County to follow-up with further assistance.
