Details:	SUMMARY: monthly reporting/ chemical spill DETAILS: Spoke with Steve Blair at EWEB about two recently discovered issues. One was an underground chemical spill from international paper located upstream from EWEBs intake. The spill was black liquor containing sodium hydroxide. The amount released is unknown but believed to be over 1,000 gallons. The other issue is the temperature location for monthly monitoring reports was not exactly recorded at the proper location. They have been recording the temperature at their old clearwell, but after discussing this with myselft and Karen Kelley EWEB will now be recording temperature after their very large clearwell. This is a minor mistake that is easily correctable and could help their CT values at certain times of the year. The old temperature location was actually creating a more conservative CT value as the temperature is slightly colder than after their very large clearwell. ACTION NEEDED: Steve is going to be monitoring for the contaminate from the spill. EWEB will now use the temperature from after the very large clearwell for monthly monitoring reports.
