Details: SUMMARY: Loss of water in Shaniko DETAILS: The operator had been receiving erratic chlorine residuals. He was attempting to replace the chlorinator, the shut off valve that separates distribution and the pump house failed causing the pump house flooding. Booster pumps will have to be replaced along with the failed valve. ACTION NEEDED: Keep boil water notice up until confirmation sampling shows no coliform issues. Kddp chlorine residuals up to 1+ until the system is functioning properly.
