Details: SUMMARY: Copper WQP results - Feb 2009 DETAILS: Sherry sent in the information for Monuments Water Quality Parameters. The WQPs analyzed were: pH, Calcium, and Alkalinity. There were two samples collected for each parameter. The results were: pH: 7.932 and 7.980, Calcium: 20.1 and 19.6, and Alkalinity: 166 and 158. Based on these results, the water was determined to NOT be corrosive. I calculated a DIC value of 39. The treatment options offered in the Lead and Copper Manual (selecting lead and copper control strategies), were to "Add Orthophosphate or Blended Phosphate". Neither option will work for this system as it did not match the WQPs. ACTION NEEDED: Reevaluate locations selected for Lead and Copper testing.
