| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate Alert Response DETAILS: Received alert for nitrate result of 6.74 from sample collected 4/7/09. Spoke with Jerry. Asked if the operation of the wells was switched so the deeper basalt well would be the lead well. Jerry said he collected a nitrate sample from the deep well and it had come back at about 8 mg/L, higher than the shallow well, so he kept the wells operating as they had been with the shallow well as the lead well. I told Jerry that the system will stay on quarterly monitoring until we can be sure they are R&C below the MCL. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to continue quarterly monitoring. | ||
