Details: SUMMARY: Membrane Filter Log Reduction Study DETAILS: The City of Manzanita owns and operates a water system, which supplies approximately 3100 people through 1600 connections, which includes outside users, including the City of Wheeler. The City has both Surface water and groundwater sources. The surface water supply is from Anderson Creek. Water is treated by a Memcor membrane water treatment plant. HBH was contacted to provide assistance with the completion of a Log-Reduction challenge study for the membrane filters. I previously met with City to collect data and US Filter testing information. We toured the City’s water treatment plant and discussed a course of action. I corresponded with Siemens regarding past Challenge Testing completed on Memcor membrane plants. I corresponded with EPA and Oregon DWP regarding draft rules for Oregon. ACTION NEEDED: Complete analysis when Oregon guidelines are released.
