Details: SUMMARY: Membrane Filter Log Reduction Study DETAILS: The City owns and operates a water system that supplies water to approximately 3100 residents through 1600 connections, which include outside users, including the City of Wheeler. The City has both surface and groundewater sources. The surface water supply if from Anderson Creek. Water treated by a Memcor membrane water treatment plant. HBH was requeste to provide assistance with the completion of a Log-Reduction challenge study for the membrane filters. Previously met with City to collect data and US Filter testing information. I Toured the City water Treatment Plant and discussed course of action. I corresponded with Siemens regarding past Challenge Testing completed on Memcor membrane plants. I corresponded with EPA and Oregon DWP regarding draft rules for Oregon. ACTION NEEDED: Complete analysis when Oregon Guidelines are released.
