Details: SUMMARY: Membrane Filter Log Reduction Study DETAILS: The city owns and operates a water system which provides water to approximately 3100 people through 1600 connections, which includes outside users, including the City of Wheeler. The City has both surface water and groundwater sources. The surface water supply is from Anderson Creek. Water is treated by a Memcor membrane water treatment plant. The City, through DWP, contacted HBH to provide assistance with the completion of a Log-Reduction challenge study for the membrane filters. I previously met with City to collect data and US Filter testing information. I toured the City’s water treatment plant and discussed course of action. I corresponded with Siemens regarding past Challenge Testing completed on Memcor membrane plants. I also corresponded with the EPA and DWP regarding draft rules for Oregon and completed analysis based on Draft Oregon Guidelines. ACTION NEEDED: None
