Details:	SUMMARY: Reviewed Well Construction options to restore water supply. DETAILS: Due to the failure of the supply well on site, Andy Gehrke, P.E. and Tim Giles, geologist, with Holladay Engineering Company are working with the owner Thomas Lee to restore water supply. The engineering company had met on site with Dallas Well Drilling, and Bob Maynard, WRD well inspector. The engineering company and driller felt the best long term option would be to drill a new well with proper screening and gravel pack. Mr. Giles feels the wells in that area plug because of fine soil material. However, the owner decided to proceed with well rehabilitation at this time. Since the project is rehabilitation and not new construction, and Bob Maynard has reviewed the situation, plans are not required. ACTION NEEDED: The engineer will submit plans if a new well is to be constructed. At this time only the mini mart and fuel station are in operation under jurisdiction of the Oregon Department of Agriculture license. The motel and restaurant are still closed until water supply is restored.
