Details:	SUMMARY: Discussion on Lafayette Springs DETAILS: Followup discussion from 7/24/09 regarding Lafayette Springs. Jim had discovered a plastic lined trench filled with gravel between the upper boxes and the midway box. Jim will be covering the trench back up and shock chlorinating and taking a raw water sample on late Tuesday or early Wednesday. For now, the water is not going into the Citys system. If the sample comes back negative or total coliform positive, then the City can continue to utilize the springs source as there is enough contact time to take care of any bacti issues. However, if the raw samples come back fecal or e.coli positive, then the springs will have to remain offline until sampling shows either negative or total coliform positive. ACTION NEEDED: Jim will take a raw sample weekly beginning on Wednesday. Sample results will be sent to DWP monthly. City will need to work towards reconstruction of the Lafayette Springs. Carrie will send the City a letter, summarizing requirements.
