| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Positive coliform July 6, 2009 stating four positive coliform repeat water samples in the distribution system. I spoke with Sanjay and he told me that the well had been chlorinated during the weekend of July 3 & 4 and four repeat samples were taken on July 6th. I told them that public notice was required to be posted and today I emailed the instructions and template for a Public Notice. I spoke with a staff member from Spring Street Analytical, who informed me that the four samples taken on Monday sere actually special samples which were requested to not be sent to the state. All four special samples showed up negative for coliform. ACTION NEEDED: Four repeat samples required because the special samples were requested to be non reportable to the state even though they were all negative for coliform. Public notice is required and five additional routine samples are also required before the end of July 2009. I never received an alert for the initial positive routine sample on June 30, 2009 only the alert for the four positive repeat coliform samples. This is why I did not respond to the initial alert. | ||
