Details: SUMMARY: Nitrate alert DETAILS: Spoke to John regarding nitrate results taken 3/17/09. He let me know that he has never had an issue with nitrate and believes I might be caused by an 80 acre agriculture/farm with high sheep and cow rotations located 400- 500 south of the well head. I explained that a public notice must be posted and distributed to all users within the next 24 hours and that a confirmation sample must be taken as soon as possible. John is currently on vacation and directed me to speak with Darrin Glenn, assistant, to handle the confirmation sample and public notice. I emailed the template for public notice and snail mailed a packet of information regarding nitrate health information and options for removal. ACTION NEEDED: Public notice to be posted and distributed within 24 hours. Follow up confirmation sample to be taken with the next 24 hours.
