Details: SUMMARY: Coliform location DETAILS: Email from Garret Klever at the state regarding coliform sampling locations being at the well head rather than in the distribution system. I spoke with Mark on 1/7/10 who stated they were trying to sample the worst water which would be from the well head since the water goes through a chlorination system and the supply is also supplemented from Salem water supply at times of substantial water use. It was explained to Mr. Steele that they should be sampling after chlorination within the distribution system that would be representative of the water being used. I also reminded him to include the chlorine residual on the sample. Mr. Steele stated he would make sure the coliform testing location would be changed to sample sites within the distribution system between plant 7 & 8 not at the well head ACTION NEEDED: coliform samples from within the distribution system
