Details:	SUMMARY: Filtration options for suface source DETAILS: System has a surface source used during July to early October as a supplemental source to the two wells. Supply from the wells drops during the summer as demand increases and they cannot keep up with the demand. The cartridge filtration system consists of a Harmsco PP-D-1 Giardia removal filter canister (8 filters) and two pre filters. This filtration system will not meet new SWTR regulations for Crypto removal and must be upgraded to comply. I inspected the treatment system and discussed potential options with Mr McFadden. Possible options include installing approved cartridge/bag filters, install slow sand filtration, install membrane filtration or a small package WTP. I contacted manufacturers and suppliers of each type of filtration technology and obtained cost estimates. I contacted DWP to get approved cartridge/bag filter systems. I requested pump information from Mr McFadden to determine treatment system sizing. I began preparing a report for the system with cost analysis and treatment descriptions. I also discussed the potential for adding more storage capacity to the existing 33,000 gallon reservoir. ACTION NEEDED: Complete report in February and send to system.
