Details:	SUMMARY: Technical Assistance for Lead Action Level Exceedance DETAILS: System requested HBH assistance for options for complying with LCR due to lead action level exceedence (0.0218 mgl) in samples collected 8/21/09. It appears that classroom #1 sink faucet is the only site that exceeded the action levels in the round of samples. Previous sample results indicated elevated lead levels at individual sites. Water Quality Parameters and lead source water samples have been collected. The pH levels are very low, 6.2, and alkalinity is relatively high at 96 mgl. The sink faucet in classroom #1 was changed out in 2007 to a Chicago faucet, which is considered no/low lead type. I met with Paul, Kim and Tim on Feb 23 to review results evaluating previous plumbing modifications done, facility usage, and discussed possible corrective measures. I also met Paul and Tim at the site on Feb 26 to inspect piping and fixtures. I talked with Alyson Reynolds, Linn Co EHD, regarding compliance options and preparation of a proposed for her review and approval. ACTION NEEDED: Complete written proposal for Linn Co and determine any further action based upon reply.
