Details:	SUMMARY: Well Treatment System Failures DETAILS: The system is a HOA is a small water system with 20 connections. The system consists of a low and high service area. The well in the high service areas test high in iron. Treatment of the iron is achieved through the use of an ion-exchange water softener. This unit has experienced repeated failures, causing the affected customers to receive water that is high in iron and hardness. HBH was contacted by Dick Retch, Board Member for system to provide advice on the potential replacement of the failing treatment unit. I met with system Board Members to tour water system and specifically to inspect the water softener that has experienced multiple failures of the 3-way valve switching mechanism. This failure has resulted in delivering aesthetically displeasing water to customers in the upper service area. I corresponded with Mr Recht regarding solutions for repair/replacement of treatment. ACTION NEEDED: Assist water system with additional repair/replacement advice.
