Details: SUMMARY: Technical Report for Lead Treatment Options DETAILS: System requested HBH for assistance with options for complying with LCR due to lead action level exceedence (0.0219 mgl) in samples collected 8/21/09. It appears that classroom #1 sink faucet is the only site that exceeded the action level in that round of samples. Previous sample results indicated elevated lead levels at individual sites. WQP and lead source water samples have been collected. The pH level is very low, 6.2, and alkalinity is relatively high at 96 mgl. Compliance with the LCR is required by Linn County Health Department and DWP. I mailed minor revisions to the draft report for Lead treatment options using information mainly from the Revised Guidance Manual for Lead and Copper Strategies and AWWA Lead Strategies. I discussed the treatment proposed with Jay MacPherson, DWP, and made the changes based on that conversation. I discussed changes with Paul Jennison who will make formal proposal to Linn Co/DWP for treatment. ACTION NEEDED: As requested by PWS or DWP.
