Details: SUMMARY: A routine samole collected from th edistribution system on 07/07/10 tested positive fro E-Coli. DETAILS: 07-12-10---Jackson Baures from Jackson County Environmental Health called Daniel Hough (DWP) on 07-09-10 t discuss follow up to this alert. Daniel contacted Duane McCoy and was informed that the was a failure in the chlorination system that has now been repaired-- however, the chlorine residual was spiked above 4 ppm. Daniel instructed Duane to (1) wait until the chlorine residual is below 4ppm to collect repeat sample, (2) issue a "dont drink" notice until chlorine residual is below 4ppm, and (3) because a source sample from Well #2 collected on 07-07-10 also tested positive for E-Coli and customers were delivered this water in conjunction with the breakdown of the chlorination system to issue a "boil water" notice to all customers. 07-016-10---I spoke with Duane McCoy today: he had not collected repeat samples, has apparently, only collected four of five source confirmation samples. Told Duane to collect four repeat sample from the distribution system today, collect the fifth source confirmation sample, and to reinstate the boil water notice. 07-16-10---The park owner is Andi Cook: 541-840-2481. 07-19-10---Per Alec at Neilson Research four repeat samples collected on 07-16-10 tested negative, 07-19-10---I spoke with Andi Cook and told her she could lift the boil water notice and to collect five temporary routines from the distribution system in August. ACTION NEEDED: Five temporary routines need to be collected from the distribution system in August.
