| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert: COLI8132 DETAILS: A sample drawn on 08/27/10 showed presence of coliform. This essentially confirmed the fact that disinfection was needed or at least lines/tanks cleaned. It is also suspect that one spring collection box is subject to surface water influence. Discussion ensued about the value of further sampling without first addressing noted above issues. Rule stated that four repeat samples are required: One from dame tap that 08/27 sample came from-- the second within two connections upstream-- the third within two connections downstream and the fourth from elsewhere in the stream. Further, in the month of September five temporary routine samples are required. If any of the above samples show presence of coliform it usually confirms something is wrong in the system. Considering the above issues known problems are already waiting to be addressed. Gary will try to discuss options w/other water users and make a collective determination in how to move forward with assuring good quality water. ACTION NEEDED: Make long term plan to upgrade system components and water integrity. Four repeat samples immediately. Five routine samples in September. | ||
