| Details: | SUMMARY: response to water outage complaint Haven Acres DETAILS: Fred, a resident of Haven Acres at (503) 308-2097, called today at 1115 on 10/11 to complain that the 25 connections at Haven Acres, have been out of water since Saturday, when the pipeline serving water up to the development broke. I indicated to Fred that earlier direction from DWP management had been that the responsibility of upkeep to the Haven Acres system is a one of local jurisdiction. I relayed complaint to Scott today, and he stated that the City has not received complaints from other areas of its system, as Haven Acres section of system is an isolated one, on a dead end line. Does not affect operation/pressure in other areas of system. He indicated that the Citys position is that as of June 2010, they are billing the development at the master meter-not at individual connections any more, and would not be responsible for maintaining this area of the water system. ACTION NEEDED: I forwarded BMPs for Reduced Pressure Events due to Service Outages to Scott as a reference for the City to address service outages within their system. DWP to answer any questions on this. | ||
