| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up to positive total coliform repeats. DETAILS: Theresa called to let us know that three of the repeats came back positive for total coliform. The raw tap at the wellhead also came back positive. The only one that came back ND was the kitchen tap. Interestingly, the system has never had a positive coliform result. All samples have always been taken at the kitchen tap clear back to 1999. Theresa contacted Jones Drilling and they are coming out to inspect and shock the well on Monday (10/11). They are also going to clean up the area around the wellhead and create a more adequate cover. She asked me what else she can do, shes very concerned. I told her that after they shock the well, they can take a special sample to see if it worked. I told her they will need to take the five routines by the end of October. She wanted to make sure the contact/operator information got changed in SDWIS ASAP. I e-mailed a copy of the Water System Info form to DMCE today and asked to have it updated ASAP. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of special and five routine samples. | ||
