Details: SUMMARY: COLI8445-coliform found present in 10/12/2010 sample. DETAILS: Left phone message w/Fred on 10/15/10. Spoke on Monday 10/18/10 regarding recent results showing coliforms. Because of hit and miss nature on positive versus negative coliform results over past several weeks plus the effort spent to chlorine shock the well more than once, Fred is thinking the problem may be operator error. I encouraged him to investigate disinfection options (that would require plan review), but admitted, "even if the water is disinfected, results will still show coliforms present if the person taking the sample contaminates the sample of the sample bottle. Discussed four repeat samples are due immediately and five temporary routine samples are due for November. Also sending an e-mail reminder to post UNRESOLVED public notice. ACTION NEEDED: Four repeat samples ASAP, five temporary routine samples in November. Post public notice.
