| Details: | SUMMARY: COLI8503 - E.coli found present in 10/21/10 sample. DETAILS: Gary returned my call to discuss sample showing E. coli present. I explained requirement to take four repeat samples, one from source, one from same site as 10/21 sample and last two from both down and upstream, within two connections from the 10/21 sample.. I suggested making sure other water users are aware if what is going on with samples. He was concerned about the lack of funds to complete sampling requirements. Suggested procrastinating Nitrate and Arsenic samples until acute pathogenic conditions are evaluated. Discussed at least sampling the source (mark as source sample) to determine the condition of the source and then determine what was most logical to do. This sample followed effort to eliminate a source possibly subject to surface water followed by a chlorine shock treatment of tanks and distribution lines. The continuously running spring box also received some chlorine treatment. ACTION NEEDED: Four repeat samples, consider results as to need to provide public notice, five temporary routine samples for month of November. | ||
