| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform alert DETAILS: The routine sample collected on 10/13/10 positive. I spoke with Jerry regarding repeat and temporary routine sampling. He mentioned the chlorinator has been broken and off line since late fall 2009, the UV system is on. We discussed the merits of replacing the chlorinator. 10/28/10 Jerry called and asked if I knew of any contract operators. He informed me the storage tank had been cleaned and the chlorinator was aback on line but that a recent special sample tested positive. We further discussed the situation and recent events and I pointed to the possibility of the storage tank not having been thoroughly disinfected and the chlorine residual should range from 0.2-0.5 ppm chlorine to be effective. ACTION NEEDED: One triggered source and four distribution rerpeat samples need to be collected tomorrow. | ||
