Details: SUMMARY: Coliform alert DETAILS: They took 5 repeat samples as a follow up from the original positive routine sample. 3 of 5 samples are positive. Emailed Judy the required public notice template to repost and update with what steps they are planning to do. Judy believes there is a cracked pipe in the distribution that must be replaced. Discussion of abandoning the spring and drilling a new well or installing a surface water system are possibilities. Sent Judy and email Monday December 20, 2010 requiring corrective action and dates of completion. 4 repeat samples from the distribution and 1 from the source are required but will most likely not take place due to financial issues and corrective action is most logical at this time. ACTION NEEDED: Public notice must remain posted and notification to tenants if shock chlorination treatment will occur. 5 additional samples due in Dec 1010 one from the source. 5 temporary routine samples due in Jan 2011. Copy of public notice must be sent to Lane County.
