| Details: | SUMMARY: VOC sample tested less than the MCL for Toluene. DETAILS: Contacted the water system contact, Erica Anderson, regarding the VOC sample that tested positive for Toluene below the MCL, but above 0.0005 mg/L. Erica was not sure why the sample tested positive, but she did indicate that the pump recently went out and in order to collect the routine sample for VOCs, a temporary pump was installed. The pump has since been removed and the well is currently inactive until some of the pipes leading to the new pump can be repaired. Erica is going to check with the pump repair person to see if the recent pump/pipe repairs may have caused the positive result. ACTION NEEDED: If the sample can not be invalidated and the well is reactivated, the water system will need to collect a sample in the 1st quarter of 2011. | ||
