Details: SUMMARY: VOC alert DETAILS: System is testing quarterly for Benzene and Trichloroethylene due to prior detections. VOC testing from 12/13/11 detected benzene and xylenes. Results were under the MCL. System has been having a gas odor in the water since late December 2010. Benzene and Trichloroethylene could be reduced to annual monitoring and Xylenes will now need to be tested quarterly. I am recommending they test all VOCs quarterly for now. ACTION NEEDED: Adjust chemical monitoring schedule for detected VOCs
