| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to 1st Qtr 2011 VOC Monitoring wells #5 and 6 DETAILS: Well #6 PCE detected at 0.00503 mg/L (MCL is 0.005), running annual average of last 4 quarters below MCL, discussed staying on quarterly frequency as values not reliably and consistly below MCL. TCE at well #6 detected at 0.00063 mg/L (MCL is 0.005). Continue annual during first quarter for TCE at #6, as reliably and consistently below MCL. Well #6 inactive since Dec 2008, but City wishes to continue monitoring in off chance well is needed. Well #5 remains in back up status, and PCE detected at 0.00244 mg/L or roughly half MCL. We discussed that since quarterly results in past showed results reliably and consistently below MCL, continue annually during 1st quarter as outlined in VOC rule. Derrick indicated DEQ study occurring regarding potential hospital laundrymat in area that could be contributer to VOC detections. ACTION NEEDED: Continue quarterly for PCE at well #6, annual for TCE at well #6, and PCE at well #5. DWP to continue to provide support to City with regards to organic detections at wells. | ||
