Details:	SUMMARY: DBP Exceedance Technical Assistance DETAILS: System was referred by DWP for assistance to evaluate elevated DBP levels from 7/2010. Both TTHM and HAA5 exceeded the MCL. Several HAA5 results have been 0.058 mgl or greater in the past 5 years. Several TTHM results have been 0.068 or greater in the same time period. The July 2010 HAA5 was 0.2088 mgl and was questioned as valid by DWP. Subsequent evaluation and contact with the analytical lab resulted in an invalid sample as determined by DWP in late January 2011. HBH met with Bill Mitchell to obtain and evaluate the CT calculations from 2009 and 2010. I also obtained the daily plant water production data over the same time periods. Distribution chlorine residuals data was obtained from coliform results. I conducted an initial evaluation of CT calculations and will develop a disinfection profile to determine the 3-log inactivation rate and send to Bill. I visited the WTP and inspected chlorine system and data collection points. ACTION NEEDED: Complete disinfection profile and determine further evaluation as needed or requested.
