Details: SUMMARY: Routine coliform sample came back positive for Total Coliform DETAILS: Initially, I left a phone message on 8/29 for Joe Wanamaker (541) 536-2315, because that was the contact in the database for these systems. Joe called back on 8/30 to say that these OPRD systems had bee transferred to the Klamath group to oversee: Booth Wayside, Goose Lake, and Chandler Wayside. He gave me the nubmer for JR Collier as the new contact for these systems. I left a voice message and sent an email on 8/30 for JR- to take 4 repeat samples as soon as possible: one at same location as most recent sample, one upstream, one downstream, and one from the well. Also let them know they will need to submit 5 samples from the distribution system next month (September). Got automated message back that he was on vacation. Forwarded the email to several others. Although not back at work yet, I did reach JR by cell phone on 8/31. He said that John Williams took all the repeats (and a triggered sample for the Goose Lake System) today AFTER JR had briefed John on how to avoid contaminating the samples. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of repeat samples, update contact information in database for these systems.
