Details: SUMMARY: Inspected Nitrate Online Analyzer and Blending Facilities for East Beach Wells DETAILS: Met with Dave on site. Data from the online nitrate analyzer can be viewed on computers at the shop. Inspected the Electro-Chemical Devices model C22 controller in the East Beach booster pump building. If needed, the controller sends a signal to the blending valve to adjust flow rates to blend the east beach sources with water from other low nitrate sources. At the time of the inspection only east beach well #1 was in use, and the nitrate reading was 2.75 mg/l. The vault for the blending valve still needs to be completed, and the piping buried. Inspected east beach wells. The river level was high and was within a few feet of the well casings. East beach well #2 needs to have a sample tap installed in the vault at the wellhead. ACTION NEEDED: System to install raw water sample tap on east beach well #2, complete installation of vault for blending valve, fill in piping trenches.
