Details: SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Contacted William today about repeat positive coliform. He has been ill and is having an alternate person contact me as to what is being done with the system as far as investigating the cause of the positive coliforms. They are to call me on Monday Dec. 12, 2011. Spoke with Mickey West today 12/12/11. Coliforms were taken on 12/8 and 12/10 and both were negative. States well head has food seal and screened vents. I asked if the chlorine had been kept steady and he said that was fine. Has 4 wells and disinfected all four. Used 1 gallon of bleach per each. I am sending him information on how to disinfect a well. Told him he probably did not need to use so much bleach. They have applied for some funding to upgrade the water system. ACTION NEEDED: Take regular quarterly sample in 1st quarter of 2012
