Details:	SUMMARY: Routine +TC DETAILS: On Monday 7/9/12, received notice of a routine sample collected 7/3/12 that was positive for total coliform. Tried reaching water system contact but was unsuccessful. Tuesday 7/10/12 emailed water system contact with instructions on follow-up sampling and suggestions on possible contamination sources for boiled water (the containers, sampling procedure, sampling handling). ACTION NEEDED: System needs to collect repeat samples and report them as soon as possible. Recommended checking that staff are following both the Coliform Sampling Plan and the Water Boiling Protocol/SOP as a first step, and then disinfecting your boiled water storage containers. Update 7/13/12: Katie notified the DWP that 4 repeats were collected yesterday and that the original sample was not kept cold during transport to the lab in Salem which might be the cause of the positive.
