| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform alert DETAILS: 5/26/12 Email communication from operator. They reshocked the system and think they have identified the source of potential contamination. Inside faucet spigot elbow was corroded and pitted which may have provided harborage to bacteria. Plan to wire brush or wheel hardware to remove pitting. 6/4/12 Received email systems public notice for Mays coliform repeats positive. 6/5/12 Coliform from operator routine 5 samples came back negative. Discussed with operator the level of the public notice tier 2 required due to this type of alert. A boil water tier 1 notice not required. ACTION NEEDED: I will mail in public notice to the state. System back on quarterly coliform sampling schedule. | ||
