| Details: | SUMMARY: 5 individual HAA5 result over the 0.060 mg/l alert level DETAILS: I received an alert for 5 of 5 DBP samples taken July 11, 2012 due to the HAA5 level being over the 0.060 mg/l alert level for each of the sample sites (DBPMAX02, DBP01, DBP02, and two DBP stage 2 sites). The system-wide running annual average was still below the 0.060 mg/l MCL at 0.048 mg/l. The system is investigating residual disinfection control changes into and out of Reservoir 2 in order to lower these levels. I explained that they may have trouble when the MCL is calculated using the Locational Running Annual Average (LRAA) under DBP Stage 2 beginning in 2013, since the LRAA for one of the stage 2 sites was 0.061 mg/l, with the other sites ranging from 0.018 - 0.057 mg/l. ACTION NEEDED: System to report detections in the annual CCR for CY2012 and investigate ways to optimize residual disinfection. | ||
