| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert for repeat coliform DETAILS: Non EPA system. Operator was unresponsive on alert for initial coliform last week. Now three samples taken after the first have shown positive including a source sample. Attempted to reach Mr. Shambaugh on 7/24 and 7/25. Left two extended messages suggesting possible corrective actions: cleaning the UV light, cleaning the reservoir, residual chlorination-- stressed the need to issue tier 2 notice. This system serves 13 vacation homes and has had a history of coliform and Ecoli contamination-- was on boil water notices for an extended period in the 90s. 7/27/12 spoke directly with Mr Shambaugh. Discussed some options light has been changed recently. Reservoir has been looked at and has no sediments inside. Discussed shocking system inspecting both for possible sources of contamination and taking some additional samples. ACTION NEEDED: Discussed with CGR. No further action taken | ||
