| Details: | SUMMARY: complaint DETAILS: Dennis called Dave Leland on September 18, 2012, with Kari Salis in the room. Kari spoke with him regarding his concerns. Rockaway beach is currently in violation for Trihalomethanes, so a quarterly public notice is going out. Dennis referred to the notice, but said that his main concern, as well as the concern of several neighbors, is that they have G-I issues and believe it is caused by the water. Previously a neighbor, Jon Orloff had written a complaint to DWS, I responded and ccd the city. The city also responded in writing as well as collected two coliform samples near his house (negative). Dennis said he or Mr. Orloff wanted to be present when samples were collected. I referred him back to the city for that. I also mentioned that if he has a GI illness, his doctor can have a stool sample analyzed, and if there is a reportable illness, we will hear about it, but from what we can see, the filtration and disinfection and operating properly and the tests do not show any indication of bacteria. ACTION NEEDED: I spoke with Luke Sheppard with Rockaway Beach and passed on the request to sample in Dennis or Jons presence. He said he would call Dennis. | ||
