Details: | SUMMARY: CT Tracer Study DETAILS: The Beverly Beach State Park has a Pall membrane water treatment plant which treats water from an intake on Spenser Creek. Water is prechlorinated (before the membranes) and following the membranes, is pumped to a small clearwell tank at the WTP site. From the clearwell tank, water is pumped through a dedicated transmission main to a pair of reservoirs for storage. This transmission/storage system also serves to provide chlorine contact time. The park serves almost 300 campsites, which are fully occupied during the high season. The State Parks Dept was informed that a contact tracer study was needed. HBH assistance was requested by the Parks Department. HBH met with Park personnel on site to evaluation system to develop methodology. Discovered that test would be complicated by the addition of a varying amount of chlorine prior to the membrane filtration. ACTION NEEDED: Following discussions with DWP, it was determined that the CT testing at the system WTP would not be needed at this time. |
