| Details: | SUMMARY: Contact Tracer Study DETAILS: HBH had performed contact tracer studies in 2010 and 2011. The flow rate of the first test (stated as 7.5 gpm by the water system staff) had been called into question. Since the test, it was recommended to the Hot Springs that they monitor their flows to accurately determine the peak flows. The reported peak flow was 25 gpm. It should be noted that during the tracer testing completed in August 2011, it was seen that the flow meter at the Hot Springs reads in cubic feet, not gallons. It is likely that the original tracer test was actually run at 56 gpm. For the test in 2011, the hot springs was operating under different conditions that they currently operate the purpose of these contacts is to establish accurate contact tracer test for the old reservoir at the hot springs, under current operational conditions. Note-- A new reservoir is scheduled to come on line in late 2012/2013, which will increase contact time. HBH corresponded with Eric Powell and visited water system to develop methodology for contact tracer test. Developed methodology and then performed contact tracer testing. ACTION NEEDED: Complete tracer test report. | ||
