Details: SUMMARY: Lead and copper excursions DETAILS: Contacted Jim via email. System was already placed on 6 month sampling. Discussed with Jay M about lower pH. Jay said Paul shows data for two events when pH differs. One when pH 6.6 (July 2011) and one when it is just over 7 (Jan 2012) The results are good, though I am not comfortable lowering the pH requirement based on a single low pH event data set. I would prefer they continue 6 month L&C sampling into next summer before lowering the required pH to 6.5 In the interim, they can continue to record excursions. Should the results be below the MCL for all those samples, and next summers pH is below 7 but more than 6.5 we can change their required pH to 6.5 ACTION NEEDED: Wait for next round of results to determine if the min pH can be reduced.
